Eti Image Privacy Policy

1.Who we are

Eti Image is made by Pouya Eti (“we”, “us”). We’re responsible for the personal data described in this policy, and you can reach us at support@pouyaeti.com.

This policy covers the Eti Image Photoshop plugin and buying it through our store at university.pouyaeti.com.

2.What stays on your computer

The plugin keeps the following on your computer. We never receive any of it.

API keys: Stored in the plugin’s own storage inside Photoshop. Each key is only sent to the provider it belongs to.
Settings: Your model choices, preferences, language and theme.
Prompt history and favorites: Stored in the plugin’s storage, with a backup at Documents/Eti Image/eti-image-prompts.json so they survive a reinstall. The backup contains prompts only, never API keys. Uninstalling the plugin doesn’t delete it.
Temporary images: While a generation runs, the plugin saves the area you selected to its own temporary folder, to pass it between Photoshop and the provider.

Files. Apart from the image you’re working on in Photoshop, the plugin reads only its own folders, its backup file and the files you choose in the Open dialog (reference images). It doesn’t scan or upload any other files.

Clipboard. The plugin writes to your clipboard only when you click a Copy button. It never reads your clipboard.

3.What goes to AI providers

When you generate, the plugin sends the following directly from your computer to the provider you selected, using your API key:

the part of the image you selected, and any reference images you added
your prompt and generation settings

Some providers, such as Kie.ai, need images uploaded to their file storage first, and the plugin does this with your key. Results are downloaded from the provider’s servers. We don’t see or store anything you send to a provider.

Each provider handles this data under its own privacy policy. Some keep inputs and outputs for a time, and some may use them to improve their models, especially on free plans. Check a provider’s terms before you send it sensitive images:

4.What the plugin sends to us

The plugin sends short usage reports (analytics) to our server at pouyaeti.com. We use them to find bugs, see which models and features people use, and decide what to build next. Each report can include:

Installation ID: A random ID the plugin creates the first time it runs. It isn’t based on your hardware, name or email address.
Versions: Plugin version and edition (Core or Pro), Photoshop version, and operating system (macOS or Windows).
What happened: The event and when it happened: the plugin opened; a generation succeeded, failed or was cancelled; an API key was added; a fast action, the prompt library or a favorite prompt was used; an announcement was shown, clicked or closed.
Generation details: Model and provider, time taken, prompt length as a number of characters, image sizes in pixels, aspect ratio, output format, and the number of variants and reference images. For Product Views: which views you chose and how many product images you added.
On launch: Your interface language and theme.
API key added: The provider’s name only.
Errors: The error category and the error message the provider returned. These messages describe the problem, and some may repeat details of the request that failed. When OpenAI rejects a key, its message shows the key masked: its standard prefix and last four characters.
Favorite prompt titles: When you save, rename, use or remove a favorite prompt, the report includes its title. If you didn’t give it one, the title is the first 40 characters of the prompt.
Replicate key fingerprint: If you’ve added a Replicate key, a short code calculated from its first 8 characters (the public r8_ prefix and five more). It lets us count distinct users. It can’t be turned back into your key or used to access your account.
Prompt library: Which built-in style you used.

Our server also records the IP address each report comes from. We look up its approximate location (country, region and city) through ip-api.com and store it with the report.

The plugin never sends us your images or generated results, your generation prompts, your API keys, file names or paths, the contents of your Photoshop documents, or anything from your clipboard. We don’t link analytics to your name, email address or purchase.

Update and announcement checks

When it starts, the plugin asks our server whether a new version is available and whether there’s an announcement to show. These requests contain only the plugin’s name, version and edition.

Turning analytics off

The plugin doesn’t have a setting to turn analytics off. It does turn them off if your system reports Do Not Track to the plugin, but Photoshop doesn’t normally do that. To stop the reports, block pouyaeti.com on your network. The plugin keeps working normally, but it can’t tell you about new versions.

5.When you buy Eti Image

Our store runs on Kajabi. When you buy, Kajabi collects your name, email address, payment and billing details, and order information. Payments are handled by Kajabi and its payment processors, and we never see your full card number.

Kajabi sends us your name, email address and the product you bought. We use them to:

give you access to downloads and updates
answer your support requests
add you to our customer email list, which we manage with MailerLite. We send update notices, tips and offers for our other products, such as Rangy. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

If you sign up for a free edition, we collect your email address and add you to our email list in the same way.

6.Our website and ads

Our sales pages are hosted on Kajabi, which uses cookies to run the store and checkout.

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API on our sales pages. They tell Meta when someone views a page or completes a purchase, so we can measure our ads and show ads to people who visited our pages. Meta handles this data under its own policy. You can control these ads in your Meta ad preferences and your browser’s cookie settings.

Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts and videos from YouTube, and both receive your IP address when they load.

7.Why we use your data

To sell and deliver the plugin and support you. This is needed to fulfill our contract with you.
To fix bugs and improve the plugin. This is our legitimate interest in running a reliable product.
To measure and run our ads. This is our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it.
To send marketing emails. This is based on your consent, or on our legitimate interest in writing to existing customers where the law allows it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To keep tax and accounting records. The law requires this.

We don’t sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the services we use to run Eti Image:

Kajabi: Store, checkout and downloads
Payment processors: Payments, through Kajabi
MailerLite: Customer emails
Meta: Ad measurement
ip-api.com: Approximate location from IP addresses
Our hosting provider: Runs pouyaeti.com, where analytics are stored

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or as part of selling or transferring the business. AI providers aren’t on this list because you deal with them directly, through your own account.

9.International transfers

These services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards those services provide, such as standard contractual clauses.

10.How long we keep data

Analytics and IP addresses: Up to 24 months, then deleted.
Purchase records: For as long as you have a license, and as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Email list: Until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Data on your computer: Until you delete it.

11.Security

Every connection the plugin makes uses HTTPS, and only the people who work on Eti Image can access our analytics. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your API keys private and remove them from the plugin before you give your computer to someone else.

12.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
correct it or delete it
stop using it for a particular purpose, including marketing
send it to you or another service in a portable format

Email support@pouyaeti.com and we’ll reply within one month. Because analytics aren’t linked to your name, we may need your help to find them, for example your public IP address or the dates you used the plugin.

If you’re in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

13.Children

Eti Image isn’t meant for children. Our Terms of Use require users to be 18 or older, or to have a parent’s permission, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children under 16.

14.Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also email customers.
